Poughkeepsie Duo Caught Stealing From Home Depot with Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine

A Poughkeepsie man and woman were arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise from a Home Depot in Southeast, New York. The incident occurred on Tuesday at around 6:30 p.m. at the store located at 80 Independent Way.

According to police, officers noticed Dennis M. Bussanich, 45, and Karleen Carter, 37, placing stolen goods into their car when they approached them. The officers then spotted drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

Bussanich and Carter were taken into custody and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Bussanich also faces additional charges, including grand larceny and false personation. Carter was charged with conspiracy as well.
