Power Leaves Challenges Coke's Monopoly with CSE Listing
Power Leaves (CSE:NASA) is set to challenge Coca-Cola's decades-long monopoly on coca leaf derivatives after completing its reverse takeover of Atmofizer Technologies (CSE:ATMO), a move that will see it list on the Canadian Securities Exchange. The company, which holds an exclusive licensing agreement with the Nasa Indigenous Community in Colombia, has US$3.02 million on its balance sheet following a concurrent capital raise and plans to use this funding to procure equipment, engage in marketing, and advance R&D initiatives. Pat McCutcheon, a co-founder of MediPharm Labs (TSX:LABS), will serve as Chair and CEO of the new company.
The listing is expected to take place by September 9th under the ticker symbol 'NASA' with a brand-new board and management team in place. The company's goal is to increase capacity and meet demand from flavour houses and consumer packaged goods companies, which has been waiting on Power Leaves' ability to produce at volume.
Power Leaves holds INVIMA-registered R&D and FDA-registered packaging facilities in Colombia, giving it a strong position to compete with Coca-Cola. The company's Chair and CEO, Pat McCutcheon, noted that the financing will go directly into manufacturing equipment, quality systems, and processes to convert its commercial pipeline into revenue.
