Prime Day Laptop Deals Disappoint as Amazon Holds Back

Amazon's early Prime Day laptop deals are not living up to expectations. According to Haley Henschel, Mashable's Senior Shopping Reporter, most of the laptops on sale before June 23 are from third-party sellers and unfamiliar brands.

Henschel notes that Amazon rarely releases legitimate laptop deals until Prime Day starts, so it's best to wait for then to find good discounts. She predicts that many Apple MacBooks and Windows laptops will go on sale at their lowest prices of the year during Prime Day.

Some category-wide discounts to expect include savings of up to 35% on select laptops from brands like HP, Lenovo, and Samsung. For MacBooks, Henschel expects discounts of at least $200 on the M5 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, matching their previous all-time lows.
