Principle Wealth Partners LLC Buys $2.93 Million Worth of American Express Stock

Principle Wealth Partners LLC acquired 8,662 shares of American Express Company's stock in its second-quarter portfolio, according to its latest Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The institutional investor purchased the shares for approximately $2.93 million.

This is not an isolated instance; several other institutional investors modified their holdings of AXP during the fourth quarter. State Street Corp increased its holdings by 1.3% and now owns over 29.4 million shares, valued at $10.9 billion. Fisher Asset Management LLC also boosted its stake in American Express by 1.6%, with a current holding of 9.02 million shares worth $3.34 billion.

Capital World Investors acquired a new position in American Express during the fourth quarter, purchasing an additional 2.39 million shares and increasing its total holdings to 7.52 million shares, valued at $2.78 billion. Norges Bank also entered the market with a new stake in AXP, acquiring over 6.1 million shares.
