Procter & Gamble Highlights Manufacturing Excellence in Green Bay
Procter & Gamble (P&G) opened its doors to the public during Manufacturing Month, offering a behind-the-scenes look at its Green Bay plant. The tour highlighted the company’s local production of household products, its commitment to safety, and its dedication to community engagement and employee growth.
Bob Monroe, the HR Director at P&G’s Green Bay plant, shared insights into the products manufactured both locally and across the company. He traced P&G’s growth from its founding in 1891 to its current status as a global leader in consumer goods.
Ashar Nisar, Operations Director for Classic Converting, emphasized the company’s core safety values, particularly the principle that “nothing you do is worth getting hurt for.” This philosophy underscores P&G’s priority of employee well-being.
Dustin Charles, part of the Technical Support Group, detailed the paper-making process, explaining how raw materials are transformed into paper products. Meanwhile, Amy Chen, a Processing Engineer, described how converting lines turn paper into well-known brands like Charmin, Bounty, and Puffs. She also highlighted P&G’s strong ties to the Green Bay community, where employees actively contribute to local initiatives.
Cheryl Rose, the Recruiting Coordinator, discussed what makes P&G a standout employer. She noted the company’s focus on training, mentorship, and career development, emphasizing its practice of promoting from within to foster employee growth.
