Procter & Gamble Scoops Up Thorne for $3.8 Billion in Beauty and Wellness Push
Procter & Gamble (P&G) has acquired Thorne, a US-based supplements brand, for $3.8 billion. This move aims to strengthen P&G's portfolio of brands and emphasize its commitment to innovation and quality in the beauty and wellness market.
The acquisition comes as consumers prioritize their health and well-being, with sales of supplements and beauty products on the rise. Thorne offers a range of products, including creatine, prenatal vitamins, and hormone-based supplements.
P&G's divisional portfolio already includes brands such as Metamucil, Align Probiotic, and New Chapter vitamins. The company has reported that its beauty division saw a 3% increase in volumes in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, driven by strong sales of Pantene shampoo and Olay and SK-II skincare products.
