Procter & Gamble Veteran Andy Walter Advises Latend on Decision Formula
Andy Walter, former Senior Vice President of IT and Global Shared Services at Procter & Gamble (P&G), has joined Latend as a strategic advisor. Latend is the company behind Decision Formula, a software designed to assist data product owners in large organizations. Walter brings over three decades of experience in enterprise IT, analytics, and board leadership to his new role, where he will focus on company and product strategy, enterprise adoption, and strategic partnerships.
Before joining Latend, Walter spent 26 years at P&G, leading global IT and shared services for all business units. He also led the company's global business intelligence and analytics transformation. For the past decade, he has been a board member and strategic advisor to companies in the enterprise analytics and AI sectors.
Decision Formula is designed to help teams define and build data products by pulling together scattered information into a single definition. It identifies gaps, ensures all necessary inputs are gathered, and keeps the definition in a form that business teams, engineers, and AI coding agents can all use. Walter highlighted the software's ability to prevent costly surprises by ensuring that what is built aligns with business expectations.
Jan Wenda, co-founder and CEO of Latend, expressed enthusiasm about Walter's addition to the team. He noted Walter's deep understanding of what businesses need from data and analytics, as well as the challenges faced by delivery teams. Walter also serves on the board of True Essence Foods and is a Trustee and Co-Chair of the Board of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. He is the author of Waiting Is Not an Action, a leadership book on disruptive innovation.
