Qantas' Uninterrupted Perth to Rome Flight Continues Amid Middle East Conflict
Qantas' daily non-stop flight from Perth to Rome continues to operate despite conflict in the Middle East. The Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which has a class configuration of business and economy, offers passengers a unique travel experience with its direct aisle access, mattress topper, blanket, pillow, and pyjamas.
The flight's route has changed since Chris Chamberlin's journey, now flying over Turkey, the 'Stans, and India. The airline operates this route seasonally during European summer until late October. Chamberlin notes that passengers can earn at least 14,100 Qantas points and 240 status credits on lead-in business class fares.
The flight's entertainment system features a 16-inch monitor with an extensive library of content, as well as one USB-A socket and one universal AC outlet. However, free Wi-Fi is not available on this particular aircraft, although it is being progressively introduced on Qantas' Boeing 787 fleet.
