Qatar Airways has made significant strides in its adoption of Starlink technology for in-flight Wi-Fi. The airline recently became the first to operate a Starlink-equipped Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, with the aircraft returning to commercial service on July 5 after undergoing installation work.

The installation marks another milestone in Qatar's rollout of Starlink across its fleet. As of August, about 83% of the airline's widebody fleet is equipped with the technology.

Qatar first partnered with Starlink in 2023 and has since installed the system on various aircraft types, including the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777. The carrier aims to have Starlink installed on all its Dreamliners by the end of the year.
