QC Ware Demonstrates Hybrid Quantum-Classical Workflow Using Promethium and IBM Quantum
QC Ware has showcased its Promethium platform in a technology demonstration of a hybrid quantum-classical workflow, using IBM Quantum hardware. This demonstration highlights how classical and quantum computing can be combined to address meaningful computational chemistry problems.
The company used the Heron superconducting quantum processor from IBM Quantum to perform quantum measurements on nitric oxide reductase, an enzyme system that is chemically complex and relevant for evaluating advanced computational methods. The electrostatic interaction energy was calculated by combining GPU-accelerated molecular modeling with classical chemistry methods.
This technology demonstration shows the potential of Promethium in exploring hybrid workflows alongside quantum hardware. QC Ware believes its platform can provide a foundation for future hybrid workflows.
