Quaker Houghton’s Aerospace Coolant Earns Boeing Approval
Quaker Houghton has strengthened its position in the aerospace manufacturing sector after securing Boeing's BAC 5008 approval for its Hocut 4260 metalworking coolant. This approval expands Quaker Houghton's portfolio of certified solutions for machining aluminium alloys and other high-performance aerospace materials.
Hocut 4260 is a heavy-duty, boron-free, and formaldehyde-free fluid specifically designed for aerospace applications. It enables manufacturers to machine multiple aerospace materials with a single fluid, simplifying production operations.
The coolant's specialised additive package minimises tool wear and improves machining performance, while its high detergency keeps components, equipment, and workspaces cleaner during processing. Hocut 4260 is also formulated without boron, formaldehyde, chlorine, secondary amines, or phenol, aligning with increasingly stringent sustainability requirements in aerospace manufacturing.
