Quantinuum Unveils High-Performance Helios Platform for Hybrid Quantum Computing
Quantinuum, a leader in quantum computing, has made significant strides in advancing hybrid quantum computing with the launch of its Helios platform. This innovative system boasts an impressive 98 qubits using trapped-ion architecture and achieves a remarkable two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.921%. The company's goal is to support generative quantum AI applications.
Helios integrates seamlessly with NVIDIA GB200 processors, enabling hybrid quantum-classical workflows that allow traditional computers and quantum machines to collaborate on complex problems. This partnership is crucial in solving challenges that neither type of computer could tackle efficiently on its own.
Quantinuum has established a strong network of early collaborators for Helios, including Amgen, BMW Group, JPMorgan Chase, and SoftBank, representing various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, automotive manufacturing, financial services, and telecom/venture capital. The company also announced a strategic partnership with Singapore's National Quantum Office to install a Helios system in the country by 2026.
