Quarra Stone Company has completed the monumental stone art installation 'A Parallel Nature' at JPMorgan Chase's new global headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners, the building is home to the installation, which was commissioned by JPMorgan Chase.

The project, led by artist Maya Lin, comprises 239 unique granite elements that range from 7 to 28 inches in thickness and weigh up to 12,000 pounds each. Each stone was quarried in Vermont, CNC-machined, and hand-finished to achieve the organic textures central to the artwork.

The installation is supported by a custom-engineered stainless-steel ladder-frame system, designed to accommodate the project's complex geometry and structural demands. Quarra Stone provided full design-assist services for the installation, including advanced digital modeling, material sourcing, engineering, fabrication coordination, and installation support.
