Quorum Cyber Acquires Ontinue in Bid for Full-Lifecycle Cyber Resilience
Edinburgh-based Quorum Cyber has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ontinue, a managed extended detection and response (MXDR) provider based in Zurich. The deal was announced on September 16, 2026, but terms were not disclosed.
Quorum Cyber is a Microsoft-centric cybersecurity services provider that covers detection, incident response, and professional services. Ontinue, a five-time Microsoft Gold Partner, delivers managed security through its Agentic Security Operations Center (SOC), which uses AI agents to investigate and respond to threats.
The combined company aims to offer full-lifecycle cyber resilience, spanning secure AI adoption, proactive risk reduction, and 24/7 threat detection through recovery. The goal is to run Microsoft security tools as an integrated, continuously learning system rather than isolated products.
