Queen Victoria School's (QVS) under-19 rugby league team is gearing up for their national grand final against Ratu Kadavulevu School, after winning the Coca-Cola Games boys' title. The victory has provided a significant psychological boost to the players ahead of the decider.

According to Head of School Waliki Nasau, this year's success marks a return to form for QVS, who had missed out on semifinals and finals from 2023 to 2025. 'We've been out of the semi-final and final for the last three years... and this year we made it to the final,' he said.

Nasau emphasized that the team was given time to enjoy their Coke Games triumph before returning to preparations, with the school striking a balance between celebration and focus. 'The boys are gearing up... preparation is normal. They were given a break last week to watch the Coke Games and came back,' he added.

The national grand final will be held at 4R Electric Stadium in Ba tomorrow, where QVS will look to overcome their earlier loss to RKS in the Eastern Zone final.
