QXO Inc., a building products distributor, has appointed Ken West as its new president and COO. He will start on September 1st and report directly to CEO Brad Jacobs.

West brings over two decades of experience, including his time at Honeywell Process Technology and PPG Industries. At Honeywell, he held leadership positions for nearly eight years and was responsible for the acquisition of Johnson Matthey's Catalyst Technologies in July.

This deal is seen as a major achievement, with West crediting it for significantly enhancing Honeywell's ability to deliver end-to-end solutions to customers. This experience will likely be valuable as QXO integrates its own acquisition targets, including the $11 billion Beacon Roofing Supply purchase from April 2025.

QXO has been experiencing significant growth through acquisitions, with its Kodiak Building Partners deal contributing $595 million to the company's sales in its most recent fiscal quarter. Jacobs stated that West is an 'exceptional operator' who will help scale QXO's platform and deliver shareholder value.
