Raindrop, an AI agent observability platform, has raised $35 million in its Series A funding round led by CRV, bringing its total funding to $50 million. The company's solution is designed to catch errors and failures in AI agents before they affect users, with a product called Simulations that replays real production traffic and existing test cases against proposed changes.

Raindrop was founded in 2023 by Zubin Koticha, CEO, Alexis Gauba, and Ben Hylak, who previously co-founded Opyn, a DeFi options platform acquired by Coinbase. The company's pitch is to bring frontier-lab testing processes to every team building agents, with the goal of catching failures before they happen.

The AI agent observability space has attracted significant capital, with Braintrust raising an $80 million Series B and Galileo being acquired by Cisco and folded into Splunk. Raindrop differentiates itself from competitors by pairing production monitoring with pre-deployment simulation in one product.
