RBC Wealth Management has made another significant recruitment move in the Washington, D.C. metro area, picking up The Sexton Group from Morgan Stanley.

The team, led by Mary M. Sexton and Erik M. Knoble, brought over $1 billion in assets to RBC when they joined on Tuesday in Tysons, Virginia.

Sexton has a long history with the industry, starting her career at Crestar Securities in 1991 and working her way through several firms before joining Morgan Stanley in 1999. Knoble first registered with American Express Financial Advisors in 1997 but made his move to Morgan Stanley just two months later.

RBC has been on a tear recently, reeling in teams from UBS Wealth Management USA and Stifel, Nicholas & Co. in the past month alone. With The Sexton Group now under its wing, RBC's Mid Atlantic Complex will be led by Matthew J. Wunder and Warren Bischoff.

A Morgan Stanley spokesperson declined to comment on the move, but RBC is clearly pleased with the addition. In June, veteran recruiter Kristen Kimmell returned to RBC after a stint with independent broker-dealer Osaic Wealth.
