RC Aviation Enthusiast Tyler Perry Takes Flight in Giant DIY Boeing 777-9X
Ramy RC's latest project is an impressive giant radio-controlled Boeing 777-9X, built from scratch using EPS foam and carbon fiber. The team at Ramy RC took on the ambitious task of creating a fully functional RC aircraft that can fly smoothly and land safely.
The massive electric ducted fans (EDFs) housed in custom-molded engine cowlings power the 777X, which was constructed to handle immense aerodynamic stress. The team built custom foldable winglets and fabricated retractable main landing gear from scratch.
When it came time for the maiden flight, Tyler Perry, a renowned RC aviation enthusiast and Hollywood mogul, took control of the transmitter. He successfully navigated the giant jet down a private runway, executing a flawless touchdown on the main gear.
