Reckitt Appoints First Nigerian Woman to Lead West Africa Operations
Reckitt has made a significant move in its West Africa operations by appointing Ujunwa Chukwumah as General Manager, effective September 15, 2026. This marks a historic shift for the company, making Chukwumah the first Nigerian woman to lead Reckitt's business in the region.
With over 19 years of experience driving growth in complex markets across Africa, Chukwumah brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. Prior to joining Reckitt, she held senior leadership positions at Diageo and Procter & Gamble, where she developed commercial strategies and led high-performance teams.
In her new position, Chukwumah will oversee Reckitt's operations in key markets including Nigeria, Ghana, and Cote d'Ivoire. Her mandate is to accelerate commercial performance, drive sustainable growth, build organizational capability, and unleash the full potential of Reckitt's iconic brands.
