Reckitt Names First Nigerian Woman to Lead West Africa Operations
Reckitt, a multinational consumer goods company, has appointed Ujunwa Chukwumah as its General Manager for West Africa. The appointment takes effect on September 15, 2026, making her the first Nigerian and the first woman to hold this position in the region.
Chukwumah joins Reckitt with over 19 years of experience in commercial and leadership roles across Africa, having previously worked at Diageo and Procter & Gamble. In her new role, she will oversee Reckitt's West African operations, focusing on commercial performance, business growth, talent development, and organizational capability.
Chukwumah expressed her delight in joining Reckitt, stating that she looks forward to working with the company's teams, customers, and partners to grow its brands and achieve sustainable growth across the region. Reckitt operates in markets including Nigeria, Ghana, and Côte d'Ivoire.
