Reckitt Taps Ujunwa Chukwumah for West Africa Leadership Role
Reckitt has appointed Ujunwa Chukwumah as its new General Manager for West Africa, effective September 15, 2026. This marks a significant milestone in Reckitt's expansion plans in the region, with Chukwumah becoming the first Nigerian and first female to hold this position.
Chukwumah brings over 19 years of commercial and leadership experience to the role, having worked for global organizations such as Diageo and Procter & Gamble. She most recently held the position of Commercial Director for West and Central Africa at Diageo, where she gained extensive knowledge of the region's markets.
In her new role, Chukwumah will be responsible for driving commercial performance and sustainable growth across Reckitt's West African business. She will also focus on building organizational capabilities, developing talent, and creating opportunities for Reckitt's brands to meet consumers' evolving needs.
