Red Hat Offers RHEL Trial to Google Startups Participants

Red Hat is offering a six-month trial of its Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to firms participating in Google's Startups Cloud Program. This trial provides participants with a platform on which to build new cloud-native services, and it comes with software credits for services running on Google Cloud.

The RHEL trial includes six months of technical support from Red Hat, as well as hardened security and compliance through pre-approved baselines, proactive threat prevention, and patching services. Additionally, RHEL will be integrated into the Google Cloud console.

To qualify for this offer, organizations must be verified active participants in the Google for Startups Cloud Program 'start tier,' new Red Hat customers, or provide a valid Google Billing ID and contact details through an authorized individual. Organizations participating in The Open Accelerator program are automatically eligible for the credit program as well.

According to Stefanie Chiras, SVP for The Open Accelerator, startups need the freedom to innovate rapidly without risking their applications' architectural integrity. By bringing RHEL to the Google for Startups Cloud Program and participants of The Open Accelerator, Red Hat is providing founders with an enterprise-grade foundation from day one.
