The applicant said she used an agent to book her visa appointment and paid around Rs 5 lakh for the service, which she described as 'absolutely ridiculous'.
The interview reportedly took place at the US Embassy in New Delhi, where the visa officer questioned why she would leave a well-paying job to pursue an MBA. The Redditor explained that it was an investment in her career and that she wanted to build management and leadership skills.
The applicant also said she was asked about her family business plans, as her father is a diamond businessman in Gujarat and her mother runs an NGO in Jamnagar. She claimed that her existing B1/B2 visa was cancelled after the interview, with a stamp stating 'Cancelled without prejudice'.,
