Redington Soars on Apple's Foldable Smartphone Launch
Redington's stock surged on September 10 after Apple launched its latest iPhone lineup in India, which includes the new foldable smartphone, iPhone Duo. The iPhone Duo marks Apple's entry into the foldable smartphone market and is priced at ₹2,99,900 for the 256GB model.
The higher prices of the iPhone models may benefit Redington as a distributor, potentially increasing the value of products moving through its distribution channel. Apple has raised prices for several iPhone models in India, with the 256GB iPhone 17 now costing ₹99,900, an increase of ₹17,000 or around 20.5%.
Redington's share price climbed as much as 5.5% during the session, reflecting optimism around Apple's latest product cycle and the potential impact on its distribution business. The stock was trading at ₹398.20 on the NSE, gaining ₹20.15 or 5.33% over the previous close of ₹378.05.
