Regulatory Scrutiny Hits DroneShield as Wall Street Giants Build Stakes
DroneShield, an Australian counter-drone specialist, is facing regulatory scrutiny due to concerns over its market disclosures. The company's revenue forecast for fiscal 2026 was recently reduced from A$323 million to a range of A$250-270 million, triggering a sharp stock price drop.
However, despite this setback, two major Wall Street banks have been quietly increasing their exposure to the company. JPMorgan Chase now holds 61.7 million shares, up from 5.2% stake, and Citigroup has emerged as a significant shareholder with a 5.69% stake.
The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) has opened an examination into DroneShield's market disclosures, which could have implications for the company's stock price. Analysts have been adjusting their forecasts, but management remains optimistic about future growth.
