Remove Google Drive from Your Computer with Ease
If you're looking to remove Google Drive from your computer, it's essential to take some preparatory steps before uninstalling the app. First, ensure that any unsynced files are protected by copying them to a different location. This is crucial because disconnecting your account will delete the Lost & Found folder.
Next, disconnect each of your connected accounts by opening the Google Drive icon in the system tray or menu bar, selecting Settings > Preferences > Advanced Settings, and clicking Disconnect account. Repeat this process for every other connected account.
Once you've disconnected all your accounts, quit the Google Drive app by going to Settings > Quit. This will leave the app installed but stop it from syncing any files.
To remove the app entirely, go to Windows Settings and find the installed-apps page. Select Google Drive in the list, click More, and choose Uninstall. If you encounter issues with uninstallation, try quitting the Google Drive app or using the Control Panel to remove the app.
