Retailers Compete with Amazon Prime Day with Major Fall Sales
Amazon's October Prime Day event is sparking a wave of competing sales from top retailers, offering shoppers a chance to snag deals beyond Amazon's platform. Starting tomorrow, Oct. 6, brands like REI, Target, Quince, and others are rolling out their own fall sales, featuring discounts on everything from outdoor gear to home essentials.
REI is highlighting savings of up to 50% on best-selling gear from brands like Patagonia and Merrell, while Target is offering a rare discount on the Bissell Little Green vacuum for under $80. Nordstrom is also joining in with a 60% price drop on popular Beyond Yoga leggings, beloved by over 3,000 shoppers.
Travelers can find deals at Quince, where select luggage bundles are 15% off, complete with matching travel accessories. Wayfair is offering up to 50% off furniture best-sellers, including outdoor fire pits, and Sur La Table is discounting cult-favorite cookware from Le Creuset and Staub by 30%. Other retailers like QVC, The Home Depot, and RTIC Outdoors are also participating with their own sales.
Walmart's fall sale, running through Oct. 11, features discounts of up to 50% on items like Nespresso coffee makers and lawn mowers. With so many retailers competing for shoppers' attention, this week is shaping up to be a prime time to stock up on fall essentials before Black Friday.
