Riyadh Air debuts Boeing 787-9 in striking indigo livery
Riyadh Air has unveiled the first images of its debut Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, showcasing a distinctive indigo-and-lavender livery. The aircraft, which rolled out of Boeing’s paint facility in Charleston, South Carolina, on October 4, draws inspiration from spring desert blooms and Arabic calligraphy, complementing the airline’s signature pearlescent white design.
The indigo livery will be featured on one in every 10 aircraft in Riyadh Air’s fleet, creating a recognizable visual identity as the airline expands. The aircraft is set for delivery soon and will soon operate at one of the 15 international airports served by the carrier.
CEO Tony Douglas expressed pride in the milestone, stating that the livery reflects a modern and confident Saudi identity. He noted that the design will stand out globally, marking another achievement as Riyadh Air has grown to 10 aircraft and 15 destinations in under four months.
