Riyadh Air Debuts First Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in Striking Indigo Livery
Riyadh Air has revealed the first images of its inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, showcasing a distinctive indigo-and-lavender livery. The aircraft emerged from Boeing's paint facility in Charleston, South Carolina, on October 4. The design draws inspiration from spring desert blooms and Arabic calligraphy, complementing the airline's signature pearlescent white livery.
The airline plans to feature the indigo livery on one in every 10 aircraft in its fleet, creating a unique visual identity as it expands. The plane is scheduled for delivery soon and will operate at one of the 15 international airports served by Riyadh Air.
Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, expressed pride in the unveiling, stating that the indigo livery positions the brand with a striking presence. He noted that the design reflects a modern, confident Saudi identity and marks another milestone as the airline grows to 10 aircraft and 15 destinations in less than four months.
