Riyadh Air Debuts First Boeing 787-9 in Striking Indigo Livery
Riyadh Air has revealed the first images of its inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, showcasing a distinctive indigo livery. The aircraft, which rolled out of Boeing's paint facility in Charleston, South Carolina, on October 4, features a striking design inspired by spring desert blooms and Arabic calligraphy. This new livery complements the airline's signature pearlescent white color scheme.
The indigo-and-lavender design will be featured on one in every 10 aircraft in Riyadh Air's fleet, creating a unique visual identity as the airline expands. The aircraft is set for delivery soon and will operate at one of the 15 international airports served by the carrier.
Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, expressed pride in seeing the first Indigo aircraft emerge from the paint shop. He noted that the design reflects a modern and confident Saudi identity, marking another milestone as the airline has grown to 10 aircraft and 15 destinations in less than four months.
