Riyadh Air Reveals First Boeing 787-9 in Indigo Livery
Riyadh Air has unveiled the first images of its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, showcasing a striking indigo-and-lavender livery. The aircraft, which rolled out of Boeing's paint facility in Charleston, South Carolina, on October 4, draws inspiration from spring desert blooms and Arabic calligraphy, complementing the airline's signature pearlescent white design.
The indigo livery will be featured on one in every 10 aircraft in Riyadh Air's expanding fleet, creating a distinctive visual identity. The plane is scheduled for delivery soon and will be deployed at one of the 15 international airports served by the airline.
Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, expressed pride in the new design, stating that it positions the brand with a striking presence. He noted that the livery, alongside the airline's pearlescent design, reflects a modern Saudi identity and marks another milestone as the airline has grown to 10 aircraft and 15 destinations in less than four months.
