Rock the Block Revitalization Efforts Bring Community Together in De Pere
The third annual Rock the Block neighborhood revitalization event in De Pere, Wisconsin kicked off on September 16th, bringing together over 125 volunteers and community partners. The event is a partnership between Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity and the City of De Pere, with local businesses and organizations providing generous support.
Over three days, approximately 325 volunteers contributed more than 1,500 volunteer hours to support 28 local homeowners in the Tree Streets neighborhood. Volunteers completed critical exterior home repairs, maintenance projects, landscaping, and neighborhood revitalization efforts.
A special community art project was also undertaken at Kelly Danen Park, where a new mural was created to enhance the neighborhood gathering space. The event's Change Champions Sponsors included De Pere Christian Outreach, The Home Depot, and Renewal by Andersen.
