Roslansky to Exit LinkedIn at End of 2026 Amid Microsoft's AI Push
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that Ryan Roslansky will step down as LinkedIn's CEO at the end of 2026. In a memo to staff, Nadella praised Roslansky for leaving the organization in a strong position and highlighted his role in developing the new unified Copilot app.
Roslansky has been with LinkedIn since 2009 and took over as CEO in 2020. Under his leadership, membership grew from 700 million to 1.3 billion. Microsoft acquired LinkedIn for $27 billion in 2016.
Nadella emphasized the importance of Copilot, a platform that brings together Microsoft's Office productivity organization with AI capabilities. Roslansky added responsibilities within this organization in 2025 and was tasked alongside other executives to oversee Microsoft 365 applications and the Copilot AI platform.
