Edmond DE Rothschild Holding S.A., a global financial services firm, has acquired a new stake in International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). According to its most recent disclosure with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Edmond DE Rothschild purchased 112,661 shares of IBM's stock during the second quarter, valued at approximately $31.68 million.
This is not an isolated move by the firm; several other institutional investors have also increased their stakes in IBM. For example, Orca Wealth Management LLC lifted its stake in shares of International Business Machines by 3.7% in the fourth quarter, while Friday Financial grew its stake by 1.9%. As a result of these moves, institutional investors now own 58.96% of IBM's stock. Analysts have been upbeat about the company, with Roth Capital reaffirming its 'buy' rating on shares of International Business Machines. However, some analysts have expressed caution, with KeyCorp cutting its rating to 'sector weight' and JPMorgan Chase & Co. reducing its price target to $250.
