RTX 60 Delay: Nvidia Pushes Next-Gen GeForce Series to 2028
Nvidia's next-generation GeForce series, codenamed GR20x and expected to power the RTX 60 lineup, has been delayed from a previously reported launch in late 2027 to sometime in 2028. Leaker Kopite7kimi made this claim on September 21, 2026, citing an Nvidia internal document that referred to the Rubin-based consumer GPUs as 'a product from 2028.'
This is not the first time the RTX 60 series has been delayed; in early September, another leaker, Moore's Law Is Dead, placed the launch in the first half of 2027 after an initial target of 2026. The latest delay suggests that Nvidia may have further postponed its plans.
The RTX 50 Super refresh, which was expected to bridge the gap between the current RTX 50 series and the upcoming RTX 60 lineup, appears to be a casualty of this delay. Multiple reports describe the Super lineup as finished from a design standpoint but deprioritized due to production cuts on existing GPUs.
AMD's next Radeon generation is also affected by these delays, with leaker Kepler_L2 reporting that only one new die, codenamed AT2, will reach the market in 2027. The rest of AMD's next-generation Radeon lineup is pushed into 2028 alongside Nvidia's RTX 60 series.
