RTX 60 Delayed to 2028 as Nvidia Prioritizes Data-Center Business
Nvidia's highly anticipated RTX 60 series has been delayed to 2028, according to three separate leakers. The latest claim comes from Kopite7kimi, a well-known hardware leaker who previously expected the RTX 60 family in the second half of 2027.
The delay is attributed to Nvidia's data-center business taking priority over its gaming segment. Advanced-node manufacturing capacity is finite, and allocating it to AI products generates higher margins and volumes than consumer graphics cards.
Other factors contributing to the delay include memory supply constraints, specifically a shortage of denser 3GB GDDR7 chips relevant to both the RTX 50 Super refresh and future RTX 60 cards. This situation is not unique to Nvidia, as the entire industry has been dealing with thin memory buffers in 2026.
