S&P Global Taps Firdaus Bhathena to Lead Tech Transformation
Firdaus Bhathena, the newly appointed chief technology and transformation officer at S&P Global, is leading the company's push to integrate technology, data, and AI. In an environment he describes as 'an everything transformation,' Bhathena aims to bring about a fundamental shift in how the financial data company operates.
Bhathena has a background in entrepreneurship and inventing. He founded two enterprise software companies, WebLine and Relicore, which were later sold to Cisco and Symantec respectively. As a self-described 'builder,' Bhathena relaxes by working with Legos, having recently completed a 7,500-piece Millennium Falcon model.
In his new role, Bhathena emphasizes the importance of adopting a startup mentality at S&P Global. He encourages his team to view challenges as opportunities for growth and innovation, saying 'Most people see a problem and turn away. But if you have an entrepreneurial mindset, you actually run towards the problem, not away from it.'
