SA Parliamentarians Get Cybersecurity Boost Amid Mental Health Concerns

A new cybersecurity program has been launched for South Australia's parliamentarians to help them better understand cyber risks and strengthen their online security.

The National Industry Innovation Network (NIIN) partnered with Cisco, Flinders University, Adelaide University, and ArchiTech to develop the 'Securing Our Future: Cyber Essentials for Parliamentarians in South Australia' program.

Cybersecurity Minister Chris Picton stated that cybersecurity is increasingly important across every part of society and government, and initiatives like this provide practical tools to strengthen cyber awareness and resilience.

In other news, a $22 million Crisis Stabilisation Centre has opened in Adelaide's north, providing additional mental health support services for Northern suburbs residents.

The centre will offer 16 beds for patients who can stay up to three nights, allowing emergency departments to focus on those requiring acute medical care. Health Minister Blair Boyer said the new service will provide more options for people to get help closer to home.
