Salesforce and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) have launched the Slack AI Launchpad Programme, aimed at supporting up to 1,000 Singapore SMEs in integrating AI into their business workflows. Announced on 13th October 2026, the initiative is part of the broader National AI Impact Programme (NAIIP) and the Digital Enterprise Blueprint (DEB), which aims to assist 10,000 enterprises over three years in advancing their AI adoption.
The programme provides SMEs with structured guidance to move beyond AI experimentation and implement AI-enabled workflows in their daily operations. Participants receive a complimentary 60-day Slack Business+ trial for up to 10 users, along with two hands-on workshops. Slackbot, an AI teammate integrated into Slack, helps SMEs automate tasks, organize work, and create content without leaving the platform.
SMEs can also utilize Slackbot Skills to streamline repetitive tasks and save time. Workshops, conducted in collaboration with Salesforce partners Bryd, May4S, and Valuehub, guide participants through identifying suitable business processes for automation and building AI-enabled workflows. Additional resources, including templates and AI prompt libraries, are also provided.
Vernon Cheo, Country General Manager of Salesforce Singapore, emphasized the programme's role in helping SMEs augment their workforce and compete with larger companies. Johnson Poh, Assistant Chief Executive of IMDA, highlighted the initiative's focus on helping SMEs apply AI tools effectively to their day-to-day operations.
