Salesforce Bets Big on AI Integration, Eyes Consumption-Based Growth
Salesforce's AI push has taken center stage at Dreamforce, with the company announcing significant advancements in its integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into its business software. The move aims to make AI an integral part of customers' workflows, rather than a standalone feature.
The company has created a bridge between its business data and outside AI models through its AIforce platform, which connects Salesforce data, applications, and autonomous agents with platforms such as Slack and Anthropic's Claude. Additionally, Salesforce introduced Koa, a model built with Nvidia's Nemotron technology and the company's massive store of CRM data.
This shift towards consumption-based pricing is expected to have a significant impact on revenue growth. While the stock has fallen 1.4% to $252.10, Agentforce annual recurring revenue has already surpassed $1.5 billion, accounting for roughly 3.2% of Salesforce's projected $46.25 billion fiscal-year revenue guidance.
The valuation picture shows that the stock currently sits at a 26.52% discount from its estimated value, which could close if Salesforce can prove that easier AI distribution translates into durable consumption growth without sacrificing its projected 20.1% GAAP operating margin.
