Salesforce CEO Benioff Rebuffs 'SaaSpocalypse' Theory with AI Force Launch
Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, Inc., rejected the concept of 'SaaSpocalypse,' which suggests that AI will replace existing software. Instead, he unveiled the company's new AI product, AI Force, at Dreamforce 2026.
Benioff stated that the SaaSpocalypse theory is nonsense and that true enterprise AI can only be achieved by running AI on top of existing software with accurate corporate data and business rules. He emphasized that Salesforce's major software product lines are growing rapidly and have secured a record low customer churn rate in the second quarter.
AI Force aims to consolidate four layers, Salesforce's data, applications, AI agents, and real-time interfaces, into one, processing information search and analysis in seconds rather than days. The company has also applied a zero data retention principle to ensure security and control over corporate data.
