Salesforce Commits to Long-Term Digital Economy Push in Sri Lanka
Salesforce is making a long-term commitment to Sri Lanka's digital economy push. The company hosted its first-ever Innovation Day in Colombo on August 31, bringing together over 200 business leaders and technology professionals to explore how trusted artificial intelligence (AI), connected data, and intelligent automation can redefine business operations.
According to Pablo Tachil, Country Sales Head for Sri Lanka at Salesforce, the company views Sri Lanka as a hub for digital talent and entrepreneurial ambition. Unlike other emerging markets, Salesforce is not bringing a rigidly boxed solution to the country but a flexible, modular platform built for the specific needs of Sri Lankan businesses.
The platform allows businesses to use their existing customer-facing interface while plugging into the strength of the Salesforce platform underneath, including AI and data workflows. This flexibility gives local businesses the ability to innovate on their own terms without sacrificing world-class backend technology.
