Salesforce Consolidates Headless 360 Rollout with 8 Milestones
Salesforce's Headless 360 expansion is a significant architectural pivot for the company. It involves making everything on Salesforce an API, MCP tool, or CLI command. In April at TDX, Salesforce announced this plan, and now it has delivered six General Availability (GA) milestones and two beta milestones.
The company consolidated its rollout of Headless 360, which landed in waves from TDX to August 19. Rohan Kumar, President and Chief Platform and Engineering Officer, explained the significance of the Data 360 MCP Server going GA. The server allows authorized agents to build semantic models, transform data, generate calculated insights, inspect identity graphs, create segments and activation targets, and stand up new data streams through natural language.
Kumar emphasized that Headless 360 is a unit-economics pitch. He stated, 'With the knowledge layer inside Data 360, the context layer, we pre-create that, so agents don’t have to spend a lot of time and money doing it themselves.'
