Salesforce Ditches Traditional Interfaces for AI-Powered Agents
Salesforce made a significant announcement at Dreamforce 2026, introducing AIforce, an agentic interface layer meant to replace traditional browser-and-click experiences in enterprises. This new approach allows agents to interact with software on behalf of users, marking a major shift from the past two years' trend of adding features onto existing screens.
The company partnered with Anthropic, led by CEO Dario Amodei, to unveil Claudeforce, a deeper integration that brings Claude's reasoning capabilities into Salesforce and Slack. Additionally, Salesforce introduced Koa, a CRM-specific reasoning model built using Nvidia's open-weight Nemotron family.
This move signifies that no single AI model vendor will have exclusive control over Salesforce's platform, allowing for greater flexibility and customization.
