Salesforce Doubles Down on Forward-Deployed Engineers in UK
At Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce announced plans to double its forward-deployed engineers in the UK as part of its Agentforce push. Paul O'Sullivan, SVP of Solutions Engineering at Salesforce UK, stated that this expansion will take the total number of FDEs across the UK to about 95.
This move is aimed at strengthening Salesforce's position in the UK and demonstrating a larger investment in the region. The forward-deployed engineers will be embedded with customers, providing technical guidance and helping staff use agentic AI tools and build custom agents.
Salesforce has been accelerating its skills-related investment and engagement with enterprise customers across the UK and Ireland. O'Sullivan emphasized that the primary purpose of FDEs is to help customers build agents that link directly to business value, allowing them to drive better customer experience, more loyalty, and improvement in service.
