Salesforce Expands Live Nation Partnership and Announces New OpenAI Deal
Salesforce has expanded its partnership with Live Nation, rolling out Venue Agent to provide 24/7 support for fans across its venues in the US. The system uses AI to answer common questions about events and navigate venue websites. In a recent festival trial at BottleRock Napa Valley, Melody, an AI guide, handled over 37,000 fan interactions and 17,000 customer service sessions, resolving 85% of user queries within three responses.
The rollout follows a successful deployment at the festival, where fans used Melody to ask about set times, stage locations, and recommendations. Live Nation said that Venue Agent uses a single system across its venues, rather than separate agents for each site, and has improved efficiency by resolving 95% of questions without human escalation.
Separately, Salesforce announced that its public sector business has become its fastest-growing industry operation at scale, with revenue from defence work up 80% year on year. The company's Missionforce platform now supports government work in more than 30 countries and has been adopted by 60 US federal agencies, all 15 US Cabinet departments, all 50 states, and all six branches of the US military.
Salesforce also announced a new partnership with OpenAI to bring AI models into secure government environments through its Government Cloud. The company is working with NVIDIA to integrate its models and computing systems into Missionforce for customers in sensitive industries.
