Salesforce Leverages AI to Revolutionize Talent Management
Pallavi Sebastian, SVP of Talent and Learning at Salesforce, believes that talent management is more crucial now than ever in the AI age. With a staff retention rate of around 90%, she thinks the key to unlocking employee potential comes from creating a unified experience using AI from the minute they are hired to the minute they retire.
Sebastian emphasizes the importance of adapting to the current pace of innovation, which she describes as 'wildfire'. She notes that employees have to be at the heart of transformation towards organizations becoming agentic enterprises. To achieve this, Salesforce has reimagined its onboarding experience, making it two times faster in the last six months.
The company is also experimenting with AI-based experiential learning experiences where staff are encouraged to be hands-on and learn how to lead in an agentic enterprise. Sebastian highlights that having the right data and insights can simplify the complexities of talent management. Salesforce has deployed a Slackbot AI agent called Midyear Check-in, which helps gather all the data for employees' mid-year performance reviews.
