Salesforce Promotes Miguel Milano as Operating Chief Amid Market Shifts
Salesforce has appointed Miguel Milano as its new operating chief under CEO Marc Benioff. Milano, previously Salesforce's Chief Revenue Officer, will assume his new role immediately.
Milano rejoined Salesforce in 2023 after spending three years at data processing company Celonis as Chief Revenue Officer and a previous stint from 2011 to 2020 at Salesforce Europe. In the recently concluded fiscal year, he was the fourth-highest-paid executive behind Benioff and two others.
The promotion signals another attempt by Salesforce to broaden its leadership ranks under Benioff's leadership since its inception in 1999. However, last year's co-CEO experiment involving Keith Block and Bret Taylor ended with both leaving the company.
