USGBC Appoints David Purcell CMO, Capital V Launches Transactions Division
The U.S. Green Building Council has appointed David Purcell as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this role, he will lead the organization's marketing and communications efforts to expand its reach and promote its LEED rating system. Prior to joining USGBC, Purcell was a principal at Purcell Strategies, where he advised clients across various sectors including healthcare, financial services, and technology.
Purcell brings extensive experience in senior marketing roles at companies such as UnitedHealth Group, Visa, Charles Schwab, BlackRock, and American Express. He will be based at USGBC's Washington, DC headquarters and is expected to play a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of the organization's products and services.
Meanwhile, Capital V Strategies has launched a new division focused on transactions and IPO communications, led by Andy Dueñas. With over 10 years of experience in corporate communications, Dueñas will oversee the new division, which advises public and private companies across various sectors including AI, fintech, and proptech.
